Lip Permanent Makeup

When the natural lip color is lost or more definition is needed, lip tattoo will fill the lips with the color of your choice to brighten your look.

Whether you choose to bring more definition to your lips by simply outlining them, also known as Lip Blend, or filling the lips entirely, you will enjoy a lipstick-free, vibrant and polished appearance.

Your session begins with an evaluation of your skin, facial features, and goals to determine the best outcome. With a use of a pencil I will outline your lips and, after your approval, I’ll deposit the pigment into your skin. The anesthetics are used before and during the procedure to ensure you are comfortable. The session takes about 2 hours, depending on the desired look. Right after the procedure, the color will appear bright but will fade 40-60%. Color boosts are recommended every 1 to 3 years.

  • Do not work out the day of the procedure.

  • Do not sunbathe or tan for a month prior.

  • Do not take anything with Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, Fish Oil or Ibuprofen for at least 3 days before your appointment.

  • Do not drink alcoholic and caffeinated beverages for 3 days before the procedure.

  • Please note that you will be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle.

  • Use of Retinoids near the treated area should be discontinued for at least 1 month.

  • If you have a history of cold sores, please contact your physician for a prescription medication to start taking a few days prior the procedure and continuing for a week as a post care.

  • Following the procedure, area may be slightly puffy for 1-2 days.

  • Using clean Q-tip apply VERY thin layer of the ointment in your aftercare kit 2-3 times a day for 2 weeks or until all scabs are off.

  • NO water, cleansers, creams, makeup or any other products on treated area for 2 weeks.

  • DO NOT rub, pick or scratch the treated area. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate off. Picking can cause scarring and loss of pigment.

  • Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 3-4 weeks after procedure.

  • Avoid hot, long showers, heavy sweating, pools, jacuzzis and saunas for one week.

  • NO facials treatments, tinting or botox for a month.

  • Avoid sleeping on your face for 2 weeks.

  • Drink through a straw, even hot coffee or tea until the lips are healed.

  • Avoid spicy, salty foods come into contact with the treated area for a least a week.

Long term care:

  • Once the area has healed, use sunscreen on treated area daily to prevent pigment from fading prematurely.

  • The use of skin care products with retinoids and acids around the treated area will cause pigment to fade prematurely.

  • When getting a facial/chemical peel or laser treatment, inform the technician of your permanent cosmetics.
